A Reflection from a Young Brother: Embracing the Lasallian Journey in Service and Faith

My journey as a De La Salle Brother in Pakistan continues to be a meaningful and fulfilling path. Every day brings new opportunities to learn, grow, and connect with students and the community. I am truly grateful for the experiences I have had so far and I look forward to learning, serving, and making a positive impact.

Working with students has always been at the heart of my journey. My connection with them has grown stronger over time, and I am deeply committed to supporting them in their learning and personal growth. They inspire me every day with their enthusiasm, dreams, and determination, and I remain dedicated to helping them.

One of the most rewarding aspects of this journey is the chance to serve the diverse communities around me. These communities are made up of people from different faiths and backgrounds, and it is inspiring to witness how mutual respect and understanding can create harmony and peace. La Salle is free from bias, judgement, or division—where every person is treated with kindness, fairness, and equality. This belief reflects the values of the Lasallian mission: to treat everyone with respect and dignity and to work toward a community where all are welcome. I remain deeply devoted to the Lasallian vision and am always looking for ways to learn, grow, and give back. My experiences in leadership roles, teaching, and organising have enriched me, and they have also shown me how much more there is to learn and do.

Beyond my role as a teacher and mentor, I have actively contributed to the La Salle community in other capacities. One of my key contributions has been through the newsletter of our institution. Being part of the newsletter team allowed me to share stories, ideas, and reflections while building a platform to connect with students, staff, and guardians. This taught me collaboration, creativity, and effective communication, all of which have enriched my role and personal growth. It is through these connections, acts of service, and daily efforts that I continue to learn about compassion and service.

Furthermore, I have had the privilege of serving as the Head of the Examination Committee. This role exposed me to the processes of designing examinations, learning the methods of paper-setting, and ensuring fairness in assessments. It taught me patience, attention to detail, and the importance of integrity in evaluation processes. Additionally, I am honoured to lead the Event Organising Committee at La Salle School, where I have had the opportunity to coordinate and manage numerous events, from conceptualising the plan to overseeing logistics, such as stage arrangements and meal preparations. Managing these events has sharpened my leadership, organisational, and problem-solving abilities while teaching me how to balance collaboration and vision.

In addition, I serve as the Youth Minister at La Salle Multan, where my main focus is on helping young people grow in their faith, character, and sense of purpose. Through different programmes and activities, I guide them to develop a strong connection with God. My role is all about supporting the youth and helping them become caring, responsible individuals who can make a positive difference in the world.
