Approving Adeel Shahzad into the Postulancy Program: A Transformational Journey Begins

The De La Salle Brothers of Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan and Papua New Guinea (ANZPPNG), takes great pleasure in announcing the acceptance of Adeel Shahzad into the prestigious Postulancy Program. Adeel Shahzad, a passionate individual who hails from Khushpur, Pakistan, has demonstrated a deep commitment to joining the De La Salle Brothers in his noble mission of transforming lives through education.

Born on 27 November 1998, Adeel completed his schooling at St. Thomas High School in Khushpur, Pakistan. It was during his time in the "Come & See" program in 2018 that he had his first encounter with the De La Salle Brothers and witnessed firsthand their tireless efforts to uplift the marginalised and empower young people worldwide.

Inspired by the Lasallian mission, Adeel expressed his desire to join the Lasallian Family after completing his matriculation. Supported by his loving parents, Adeel graciously embraced God's calling and embarked on a vocational journey that would shape his life in profound ways.

In 2018, Adeel began his vocational journey by joining St Miguel House of Formation. During his time there, he had the opportunity to nurture his hobbies and skills, including reading books, singing, developing sporting abilities, and participating in gardening activities. The Formation House became a nurturing environment for Adeel as he continued to deepen his understanding and commitment to the Lasallian Charism.

Adeel's unwavering dedication and enthusiasm have led him to the next phase of his journey. With utmost gratitude, Adeel has submitted his application to enter the Postulancy program, a crucial step in his formation as a De La Salle Brother.

In his application, Adeel expresses his deep gratitude to his parents for granting him the opportunity to answer God's call with a resounding "Yes." Their unwavering support has fortified his commitment to serve others and participate in the transformative work of the De La Salle Brothers.

With great humility and excitement, Adeel addressed the Brother Visitor directly, expressing his desire to continue the vocational journey in following Jesus Christ and Saint John Baptist de La Salle.

In his letter of support, Br Saddique Gill, Director of Miguel House of Formation, said, “I highly recommend Adeel Shahzad for the postulancy program. Adeel has impressed us with his academic performance and his strong desire to continue learning. He possesses excellent English language skills and is eager to become a Brother and teacher. Adeel holds a strong sense of responsibility and belonging within our community. During his time at Miguel House, he has shown great leadership qualities, being actively involved and innovative. I am confident that he will make a valuable contribution to the program and would be an asset to your organisation."

The announcement of Adeel's acceptance into the Postulancy Program marks a significant milestone in his journey to become a De La Salle Brother. We celebrate Adeel's commitment to serve marginalised communities and transform the lives of young people through education. The District of ANZPPNG congratulates Adeel and hopes that his path in the Postulancy Program will continue to be blessed with guidance, growth, and the fulfilment of his noble aspirations.
