De La Salle Brother named best Principal.

Join us in offering congratulations to Br. Antony Samy Pancras, who was named, NCD Educational Services' best principal. 

The National Capital District Educational Service Commission awarded Br. Antony the Best Principal Award - Secondary for demonstrating SLIP leadership aligned with the National Quality Schools Framework in his school in 2023.

Br. Antony has been the principal at La Salle Technical Secondary School, Hohola, Papua New Guinea, since March 2022. He serves as the Chairman of Principals of all NCD Schools, a Catholic Archdiocese Education Board Deputy Chair, Chairman Sacred Heart Teachers’ College Bomana Governing Council. a BOG member and a curriculum and finance consultant at St. Joseph International Catholic College.

He also serves as the PNG Sector Bursar, PNG Sector Mission Council Member, and director of the brothers’ community in Hohola, Papua New Guinea.

Br Antony was born on 26 September 1978 in Susaiappar Pattinam, India, to Pancras and Jeya Mary Pancras. He has five living siblings, including the Rev. Fr. Michael Arockia Samy Pancras, Salesian Priest, who is currently principal of Arts and Science College in India. Br. Antony entered the Brotherhood in 1995 in India. His postulancy and novitiate took him from India to the Philippines. He took his first vows in June 2002 at Boys’ Town, Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India, and took his perpetual vows in March 2011 there as well.

Br Antony started his post-secondary education in 1996 at Arul Anandar College, Karumathur, Madurai, India, and earned a Bachelor of Arts and management degree in 1999. He earned his Bachelor of Education in 2005 from Madhya Pradesh Bhoj University, Bhopal, India.

In 2006, he earned a diploma in computing skills, in 2008, he achieved a Master of Arts in history and in 2010, he attained a bachelor of education from Madras University, Chennai. He has also attained a diploma in basic counselling and a master's in theology over the years.
