I am Lasallian

Becoming Lasallian

La Salle College Middle Swan Year 7 students and their families recently gathered at the school for their traditional ‘I am Lasallian’ evening – a celebration of the wonderful achievements made by Year 7 students in their first term of Secondary School.

The theme for Year 7 students is ‘Becoming Lasallian’ and the evening was an opportunity for new families to connect and see firsthand the wonderful experiences and work that their children had participated in and achieved across Term 1.

The evening provided an important opportunity for students to present work to their families that they completed in their Project Based Learning classes, where the emphasis was on cross curricular learning and the development of important skills such as collaboration, communication, and critical thinking - skills that will serve these Year 7s well throughout their time at the College.

There was a fantastic atmosphere and positive connections made between students, staff and their families. We also shared a scrumptious gold-coin donation sausage sizzle, thanks to our wonderful Parents and Friends Committee helpers, with funds raised going towards the Lasallian Foundation.

The Year 7s can feel extremely proud of how they have approached their first term of education at La Salle College and we look forward to seeing what the future ahead holds for our newest Lasallians.
