Election of members of the District Council 2022-2026

Dear Brothers and Lasallian Partners,

The Brothers Delegates to the District Chapter have been meeting over the past two days to reflect on the ‘unique and different’ aspects of the Brothers’ life. One of the major tasks of the Brothers gathered together in Chapter was the election of Brothers to serve as members of the District Council and substitute Members of the District Council. The Brothers’ Rule says that “The mission of the District Council is to promote the unity of the District and to assist the Brother Visitor in the exercise of his duties. The Brother Visitor and his Council draw up plans together regarding the running of the District, and they study how to face the problems that arise” (Rule 147).

The elected members of the District Council (2022-2026) are:

The elected substitute members of the District Council (2022-2026) are

• Br Peter Ryan
• Br Qumar John
• Br Richard Gaffney

Please join me in congratulating these Brothers as they prepare to begin their ministry of service to the District of Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan and Papua New Guinea.

Please note: 
•    The Brother Visitor is by right the President of the District Council. 
•    The Brother Visitor can appoint one or two Councillors of his choice to ensure a better representation of the Brothers.
